Head of Division, Hon. Justice Michael Elubu inspecting the guard of honor at Entebbe Chief Magistrate Court

The Criminal Division of the High Court has kick- started two criminal sessions at Entebbe Chief Magistrates Court.

The two sessions are being handled by the Head of Division, Hon. Justice Michael Elubu and the Deputy Head, Hon. Justice Alex Ajiji Mackay and will see a total of 80 cases handled. The causality’s signed by the Court's Deputy Registrar, HW Festo Nsenga indicates that Aggravated Defilement tops with 45 files. This is followed by Murder (15), Aggravated Robbery (14) and Rape with six (6). The cases are going to be handled in, in 40 days.

So far, Hon. Justice Elubu has completed seven cases while Hon. Justice Ajiji has completed four cases.

Before the sessions kicked off, the Judges held pre-session meetings which were attended by justice actors and various political and civic leaders.
